Instructions for oral presentations

  • Oral presentations (and poster pitches) must be pre-recorded and uploaded until 6 November on the switch server whose symposium-specific address is linked in an email with subject: “SGM21 Link video and poster upload Session” you have received from andrea.moscariello@unige.ch on 1 November.

  • Detailed instructions on how to how to create your Video Presentations (also poster pitches) can be downloaded here
    Here are some tips and tricks by Jonas Igel @ ETH Zurich on making a pre-recorded video presentations for a conference.

  • Please leave time for Questions. :
    Oral Presentations with time slot of 15’ must make a max. 12’ video to leave 3’ for the Q&A session.
    Oral Presentations with time slot of 20’ must make a max. 17’ video
    Oral Presentations with time slot of 25’ must make a max. 12’ video
    Oral Presentations with time slot of 30’ must make a max. 27’ video
    Oral Presentations with time slot of 45’ must make a max. 40’ video
    Videos for poster pitches must absolutely respect the duration indicated in the program (2′, 3′ or 4′ depending on the symposium).

  • File Naming Convention:
    In order to facilitate the organization of the talks please follow this instruction for naming your file:

    File video Oral presentation: → SessionNumber_Time_FirstAutorName
    Exemple:
